who i am

Programmer and Interface Designer

I have been programming computers since I was ten years old, and involved with them for longer. I have used languages derived from C/C++, Pascal, BASIC, Perl, and others under Windows and Linux. Alone or as part of a team, the software I produce demonstrates my problem-solving creativity, my desire for elegance, my eye for detail, and my expertise in creating extraordinary user interfaces.

I am always interested in new challenges.

Web Programmer, Computronix Canada Inc. (contracted to Syncrude Canada Ltd.)
2001 to Present, Fort McMurray, AB

Wore a variety of hats while working on the team responsible for developing Syncrude's Plumtree corporate portal. A substantial portion of this was Web development using ASP and ASP.NET on the server side and JavaScript on the client side.

Currently working on the Tibco corporate messaging implementation.

2003 to 2004, Fort McMurray, AB

Designed and developed a peer-to-peer file distribution program called Two Degrees; I was responsible for the client application and network library, and my friend did most of the design as well as programming the server.

Designed and developed a peer-to-peer networking program called PeerGenius; I developed the client and networking, while my friend did most of the design and wrote the server. Created a 3D Tetris game in my spare time.

Created database-generated Web sites utilizing PHP and Perl. In my spare time, I created a site with Perl to assist my high school classmates in keeping track of each other.
